FAQS
CAN I SPEAK TO YOU FIRST WITHOUT COMMITTING TO SESSIONS?
Yes! I believe this to be a very important first step when embarking on therapy. Spending some time discussing how we can work through what you wish to bring together is key to beginning a successful counselling relationship.
WHERE CAN I HAVE SESSIONS?
I can offer face-to-face, online (via an online therapy platform) or telephone therapy. Face-to-face therapy is held in my clinic space in Withington, Manchester. Online and telephone sessions can be held from wherever you are based as long as you have a confidential space where you feel comfortable.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
I charge £50 for each 60 minute session. Depending on your circumstances a concession may be possible.
HOW OFTEN ARE SESSIONS?
I recommend that clients attend weekly sessions. It may be possible to attend fortnightly depending on your presenting issues and requirements. This can be discussed at our initial consultation. Your session date and time will remain yours through the duration of therapy. Depending on my availability there can be some flexibility offered so please let me know when booking if you cannot make a regular time slot.
HOW LONG WILL IÂ HAVE COUNSELLING FOR?
As a private therapist I am able to offer open ended therapy and therefore there is no limit to the number of sessions you can have. Some clients have a few sessions and some want more space and time. We can decide together when the time seems right to stop counselling.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?
If you decide at any point that you no longer want to attend therapy sessions with me then that's ok. Whatever your reasons for wanting to end or take a break, it's OK. I would encourage you to be open and honest about this so we can schedule an ending session.
